US ENERGY CRISIS: FUEL AND POWER SHORTAGES WORRY ANALYSTS iht.com I see no reason why these problems won't be permanent and much worse going forward. So long as the authorities favor an unsustainably strong dollar, imports over exports, and financial markets, speculation and other unproductive nonsense at the expense of the real economy, little capital will flow to America's infrastructure. The "New Economy" is nothing more than massively created paper wealth designed to mask a rapidly deteriorating real economy. I doubt there's anything much we can do to improve things at this stage anyway.
