Saddam/Iraq.... does this maniac hold the key to a Global Flashpoint, or what ? ...Allmost scary what Saddam could do at will here. He could trigger $40-$50 Oil immediately - good for spikes in both Black & Yellow Gold. Have to imagine that every single Intelligence Asset available has an ear tuned in his direction. Saddams ability to negotiate (extort) and his ability to wreak havoc upon the US economy have never been greater. Fleckenstein's column mentioned a very high profile letter that Clinton just sent to the Saudi's...the Saudi's only out imo; is to claim they simply do not have the capacity...otherwise; they've got to add production here. Should OPEC admit they simply do not have the capacity; Saddam once again; becomes the "real" swing producer and the chaos that he can create is substantial. - Should we see $30ish crude all thru Q3 and Q4 - this has to create not just inflationary pressure upon every area of our economy; but will surely trigger a market collapse & an ultimate domestic recession - as nearly every single crude oil price crisis has - all good for the "Hat Trick" play of a new alltime OSX high along with a simultaneous leveraged play in the coming XAU/Gold Stock rally & a NAZ short.
