What is this with the average daily volume. As I remember well, last week it was also 6.2 million. Shouldn't it be the double now? Or did they increased it already a few weeks ago?

It just don't make sense.

Bert,

It would be nice to have the volume increase due to the split but that doesn't always happen. There have been so many splits this summer that one article in the WSJ complained that there were not enough buyers for all the shares. On one of my stocks, a secondary offering of shares was cancelled partly due to this reason.

Bert-

It is fairly clearly established splits do not affect volume in direct proportion to the split ratio. Lots of reasons for it, but that's the way it works.
