Excuse me but Greenligh.com has almost no revenue, is burning cash and is down to about $15 miion in cash. How is Greenligh.com going to pay Amazon $82.5 million when they will have difficulty paying their employees through next spring?

Dunno Glenn. As I said before, I am ambivalent about AMZN and I am taking a politically correct position i.e. AMZN could succeed or could fail (depends on how you define the criteria for success or failure). But it certainly deserves to lose the Internet darling status which should be retained by likes of AOL and YHOO.
As far as Greenlight.com unable to raise cash...., AMZN will take another charge <G> It is a part of AMZN recent business plan <gg>

"Under terms of the January agreement, Amazon acquired 5 percent of Greenlight's outstanding
shares for an undisclosed sum. Amazon also will receive $82.5 million from Greenlight.com
over a 5-year period and receive warrants to increase its stake to 30 percent during that time."

Didn't greenlight.com use the money from AMZN to buy a 5 yr annuity yielding $16.5 million per year to pay back AMZN? <g>
