AMZN would have needed to rally more than 150% ($46) just to break even for the year.

That applies to yahoo also and a lot of software stocks.

I'm just saying whatever irrational exhuberance existed on this thread last year and in 1998, it is now irrationally antiexhuberant...

Gary from the cisco and comm threads is someone who made an excellent call on this stock going long at about 30 thinking all the bad news had to be out, and he was right. I don't know if he sold at 40.
