Mr. Gordon Leask reports
The company has recommenced exploration on its 100-per-cent-owned,
2,500-hectare Arizaro copper-gold property located in Salta province,
northwestern Argentina, where recently announced rock chip and trench
results show potentially economic mineralization over an area of 600 metres
x 800 metres. The current program will consist of comprehensive geologic
mapping, pitting and trenching over the entire mineralized zone.
Regional exploration agreement
Teck Corporation and Mansfield have recently reached an agreement under
which the companies will continue a joint grassroots exploration program in
northwestern Argentina. Each party will contribute equally to a
$1.2-million reconnaissance program of which Mansfield will be the
operator. Any new properties acquired under this program will be equally
and jointly owned by Mansfield and Teck. Teck will finance an initial
program of $500,000 on each new designated property and then each party
shall contribute equally to follow-up work programs. Should either party
elect not to contribute to a follow-up program, it shall dilute to 40 per
cent upon expenditures of an additional $1.0-million by the contributing
party.
