Given your price basis in QCOM, what period of time would you consider the minimum for "long-term"?

For me it would certainly be more than one year. Those crazy $400's (pre-split) didn't roll around until late November/early December, 1999. Nine months?

OTOH, I suppose if you are Mrs. Tekboy, nine months is "long term" <g>

I have just sold 1/3 of my pposition in qcom (the portion that is still in profit) with 2/3 of my position being in a 40% loss side

Why did you sell the shares on which you had a profit, instead of those on which you had a loss?
