I see what you're saying but I still see no inconsistency. X approached Elian issues fairly legalistically and did a lot of research on immigration law. Her conclusions were based on the results. She saw nothing that would justify interfering with Juan's parental rights. How she viewed parental rights here at home- weak or otherwise-in some other case-- seems irrelevant to me in this international case. I think Joe was really stretching to find a post written more than two years ago, and where the surrounding circumstances of that particular post were ignored (who KNOWS what she and Del were talking about)and I question his motivation. I ignore the jousting between X and joe as individuals--I think that's up to them--but I just have a real dislike of third party crap-- talking nastily about and making fun of people the way he and ebill are doing with increasing ugliness as the day wears on. I think it's petty and small and boring-- and there's been a ton of it today. I feel quite sure that in saying this, I will receive a certain amount of insults flung my way. Whoopee.
