No, they can't restate the prior results without saying so. But with all the crap that is going on such as "pro-forma" what does it matter? No one cares, one bit.

i'm not sure, but i bet they can do whatever they like, i.e. whatever makes the results look best. one thing's for certain,gains will be recorded, losses will likely end up as footnotes.

it's another bull market phenomenon that will work in reverse in a bear market. if there still is such a thing that is.
