Amen. And, the Democrats are the masters of wasting money. Programs, agencies, involvement in areas that should be locally controlled, micromanaging, travel (1 Billion dollars by clinton on travel, trying to win other countries approval with money, and on and on. Yes, the democrats are true masters at maximum taxation with maximum waste and porkbarrel activities. Not good managers or stewards of our money. Better to have home rule excepting the military and things that, out of necessity, need to be done on a national basis. Clinton and Gore chose to waste money of BS programs and let our military, and our loyal men and women, fall way behind the curve. Very bad democrat mentality.

Actually, it was a republic before it was much of a democracy. Thus, at the beginning of the republic, blacks and women were disenfranchised, most states had property qualifications to be able to vote, and the state legislatures elected senators. The electoral college was not bound to follow the popular vote for president, and in one instance did not. The House represented the principle of proportional representation, but there were two senators from each state to dilute the strength of populous states. The legislature was bicameral, and the president was allowed a veto, in order to impede the ability of simple majorities to get their way. Over all, the Founding Fathers distrusted democracy, and wanted, at best, to ease into it........

All of the reductions in funding for the military were proposed and executed by clinton. That is a matter of record. Check out the Congressional Record. ~H~
