We asked Intel's Jeff Austin, IA-32 Desktop Launch Manager to comment on the news that the Pentium 4 often performs 20 to 25% slower than the Pentium III on an IPC basis, and he admitted that there were issues, but there will be further discussion of this in a session later this week.
