As mentioned in my index update unless yesterdays highs are taken out significantly, that would be bullish short-term and I would not be overly bullish until 4300 is taken out. I guess you are ignoring the threat of the Head and Shoulder formation, which is of course your choice. Im not saying that the H&S will be completed, but I wont ignore that possibility as you do. Considering todays performance as being very bullish could be a BIG MISTAKE, and you could be right. Today did not set a higher high but did form a MINI-DOUBLE top if tomorrow is negative

Good observation on the H&S pattern... I'm not ignoring it... I just think that the rising double bottom formation, the closing of the June gap, and the end of rate hikes market event are more significant...

My point is not whether you or I are right or wrong, but that its premature to become very bullish, as you stated. If you dont agree with me on the 4300 level then at least wait to see if yesterdays highs are taken out significantly. Again it could simply be a mini-double top.

I don't play the right or wrong game... I interpret charts and market events... Sometimes I agree with the dominant consensus, and sometimes I don't... Like the other posters here, I share my thoughts... I'll never presume to think that my opinions have any more weight than anyone else's... I've had enough bad market experiences to be humble and thankful when my analyses pans out... But, I have learned from those experiences... That's at least until the market learns a few new pitches... : > As for Nasdaq 4300, I agree that it represents a 2 month double top target which I think will be taken out...

When someone says to me that something is very bullish, I take as if that person is aggressively adding to their position, to the point they are even adding on margin if that person plays with margin. If one says its very bullish and in fact didnt add, then I consider that such person may have an alternative agenda and I did say may. If its not an alternative agenda then it may just be BS. Of course that mainly applies to individual stocks not an index. So I presume you added aggressively, since I dont consider you a BS'er. Good luck then, you may be a little premature to add aggressively. I may have just added a little to start with than add on, rather than going aggressively now.

Don:

As for agendas, it's the same as anyone who posts here; to make money... : > I'm not selling anything to anyone... I post on certain quality threads as a means for giving something back to the other posters who unselfishly share their analyses and ideas... When I feel bullish I say it... Thanks for not putting me in the BS camp... Although I do have a BS in business... : >
