The media did a fine job of lowering "national morale." Just like they did when they called Three Mile Island "a nuclear nightmare (which it was not -- it actually proved the safety of American nuclear power plants).

Nixon did have a plan. he never spelled out the timeline. His plan included Cambodian bombing and Green beret forays -- deep insertions well north of the DMZ.

As for Watergate -- here we have a man who lied trying to protect his friends. With Clinton we have a man who lied -- trying to cover his own ass.

It's amazing the spin media can put on stories. That's where the Clinton spin doctors learned their trade.

As for my being "senile" -- hardee-har-har you old geezer. If you want to check out my age ask X-The Unknown on the FEELINGs thread. If you're nice to her she might tell you.

Bigger liar than Nixon? -- Try JFK. The media at the time were co-conspirators in keeping truth from the American public. They were caught up in the false "Camelot" scenario they themselves had created. They still are. So much for the "public trust" they are supposed to hold.

It was so rotten at times Jackie wanted to divorce him... but Kennedy family members kept asking her to just hang in there until his term(s) were over.

They were also in bed with the Mafia.
