Jon...that comment, IF quoted correctly, would apply to all posters, including you (and, I'm certain you'll point out, me as well)...This board has become a rhetoric factory on both sides. It is a shame...

>>>"I wouldn't believe a word that was said on a chat board," said e.Digital Chief Executive Alfred Falk in an interview with Dow Jones Newswires. "They have become, especially in our case, an all-out circus."

There is is - right from the horse's ... er ... mouth!<<<

Perhaps, finally, e.Digital executives will now gain some respect from you.

The RB board, no question, is a circus of sorts what with a high, mighty and relentless (I think, paid) basher corps, insults, name-blasting, prison humor, porno links, sports and gambling metaphors, etc. I'm surprised you don't realize a strong dose of bashing breeds a greatly inspired level of advocacy (what you call a "cult") amongst those who'd battle with bashers.

Thus, the debate about EDIG escalates near frenzy-like, logic becoming the greatest victim. And I dare write that when you, yourself, use terms like cult and other disparaging-like remarks which you've made, you're gonna fire up someone who believes differently than you do.

Why not try this, JT: Use your RB account and visit the EDIG board. Recommend you not post or you'll be on your computer 24-hours daily. But just monitor the board and: a) use the RB ignore feature to eliminate the bashing; b) objectively not consider the responses to the bashers; and c) forget about the spamming, etc. I submit a, b and c is what makes the board a "circus." Without a, b and c, you'll find a good board, not a cult.
