The Euro..

Hmm one of the great experiments that like the rest looks set to fail, in time perhaps. The ECB does its best to help the ailing currency yet you can not force economic change, it will and needs to happen on its own.

The Hapsburgs tried as did Napoleon and well the other guy yet Europe is too diversed to make the common currency more then just that common. The Euro has to allocate the wishes of 15 countries on different time scales as far as growth, inflation, unemployment etc are concerned. Parity with the US$ really hurt the belivers and they are still smarting.

In short it´s a bit of a mess right now...
