That's the way to read itroyalties put chip. They are using Aware's g.lite code (software) and paying for that. Remember fast retrain is included in that. Another thing to think about is SigmaTel is a provider of integrated circuits for broadband communications. Note the portion I clipped from the announcement.

Aware, Inc. (NASDAQ: AWRE - news), a worldwide leader in DSL (digital subscriber line) technology for high-speed Internet access, today announced that it has licensed its fully interoperable, standard-compliant G.992.2 G.lite ADSL technology to SigmaTel, Inc, a provider of high-performance integrated circuits for high-speed broadband communications. Aware will provide SigmaTel with field-proven G.lite software, including fast retrain technology, which SigmaTel will incorporate into its multimode chipset.

SigmaTel picked AWRE's g.lite over other's as I read it.

Does anyone know who SigmaTel uses as a Fab?
