INTC vs AMD:

Nice to hear some balanced sentiment about this. So many posts are about:

-- the impending demise of AMD
-- the impending demise of INTC

both of which are serious nonsense, in my view.

Of course both companies are failing to execute perfectly.
But I don't see any prospect of impending doom for either,
regardless.

And in the case of AMD, I particularly like:

-- solid Athlon technology
-- good road map for the future
-- ability to manufacture with high yields
-- position in flash
-- profitability (now and in future)
-- relentless focus on opportunities
-- possible cooperation with Transmeta
-- a cheap stock relative to all that
-- huge upside

I do NOT expect AMD to perform flawlessly in the future, or
to demolish INTC but what they DO have going for them
presently is enough to satisfy me.

Best wishes,
Jim
