You are having a knee jerk reaction to some surprising news, but I think your reflexive response is the appropriate one.

I find it hard to imagine Bill G. spending time with Christensen or Moore learning the paradigms that those two have presented us so that he can lead his company to the next level (or maintain it at the current level).

I think this is just into the "top of the Video" market, where I believe Gates has made a mistake going anyway.

I have been out of softy since 3/99, and don't intend to get back in anytime soon. They are down 39% this year, as I am sure everyone here knows.

If Gates had understood the future, he would have bought Qualcomm in 1997 or '98.

Hmmm interesting - it's a commodity target right? so
microsoft wants more of that limited profit... it's not
like they have a fab or anything - they're probably
contracting out the work to the likes of isil.

early reports of the ce apps on cpq's ipaq bodes well
for microsoft (surprisingly)... wouldn't count 'em
out just yet... ;v)
