Both provide connectivity to the Internet as their primary reason for existence. ( I know that AOL did not start out that way). Now, while @Home is a superior method of providing the same service, it costs more. Nevertheless, these 2 providers are in competition to provide Internet access. >You are like that other fellow; you need to believe in something that is accepted. Then you can feel good about yourself. It's funny, if you knew me, you'd know nothing could be farther from the truth. But you'd rather attack and accuse than take the trouble to find out. >Many here once believed like you do, but gradually they've been able to see why the view is flawed. Now they'd like to shove your "content" up your a$$. Hey, it's not fun to watch the bottom drop out of an investment with such huge potential. I know. I feel the pain too. However, I respectfully disagree on the subject of content. In today's world, where @Home is in the one of the best positions as far as having a high speed network built out, the value is hard to see. In 5 years when there are many choices of which network to select, the story will, in my opinion, be different. >Please tell me what Excite has contributed. See post 24903. Most of Excites contribution will be realized in the future when personalization will be available across multiple devices. Just my opinion. But hey, maybe I'm just a clown who doesn't know what he's talking about. Then again, maybe the clown is really you.
