RAMBUS TAKES NAMES AND KICKS BUTTS;

WHOA!!!!

"Any company can fight us in court, but if we win we can choose not to license them anymore," Kanadjian said.

"He confirmed that Mountain View, Calif.-based Rambus is in various stages of negotiation with Hitachi, Toshiba , Oki Electronic Industry, Infineon Technologies, NEC, Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Electronics Industry, and Micron Technology"

And, the gloves come off!!!!!

Anyone want to bet the probability that, given the inreased current and furture market share for RDRAM, any of the MMs would want to lose their licenses to make it? And, possibly (after the patents are upheld) all other DRAM???

This, in olden times, was called "throwing down the gauntlet".

The above was take from Motley Fool
