What of it though? So Lucent and EDIG chose Sandisk memory cards for their player. Where is that player by the way? It's been over a year since this news was released.

More than 165 products with specific slots for solid-state CF cards have been introduced thus far, making it the most popular small-size storage card in the industry. SanDisk, which invented CompactFlash, sells CF cards in capacities ranging between 4 and 96MB.

It means nothing to EDIG or Lucent. This doesn't validate the product it validates the MEDIA. And by no means does it imply that MicroOS is gona all of a sudden show up in every device that uses CompactFlash.

By the way.. as far as I KNOW Smart Media is gaining market share. And by the logic of the RB post that would be a bad thing for EDIG and Lucent. See how that doesn't make any sense? It works neither way.

Your next link (the recent announcement), however, is quite significant for EDIG i would think.
