Petz...re:did you notice that the August 2000 Athlon "revision guide" a.k.a. "bug list" has only two remaining errata -- vs. over 40 still not fixed in the Coppermine?

Petz

I only know a couple of people with Athlon machines (one an IBM from last year with a 550Mhz processor). He says he has never seen the dreaded "blue screen of death". I have read similar things elsewhere. Actually, I find that hard to believe, but does anyone here have evidence that those faulty processor things are an Intel exclusive? From everything I've read the Athlons appear to be very solid performers.

Regards
Ed P.

Petz, interesting point. I guess someone should point this fact out to MickyD. Maybe he will change his mind on who has the more "fragile platform".

TG - did you notice that the August 2000 Athlon "revision guide" a.k.a. "bug list" has only two remaining errata -- vs. over 40 still not fixed in the Coppermine?
