Mike:

Too bad we weren't smart enough to short NXTV when we discussed this very issue after I raised it after coming across such plans several weeks ago in a Nacchio interview, but hidden several paragraphs down toward the end of the article. Hopefully, we can learn from our mistakes & profit more wisely in the future.

Quest and VDSL. Why is everyone so sure that VDSL will be a victim of the USWest-Qwest merger? I'm guessing the service Qwest will drop is the so-called Megabit Services that USWest started. I almost got hooked-up with it, but finally decided I wasn't going to be happy with the 256k up and down that they were selling for $50 (including phone line). Too slow. I'm waiting for Covad, wireless, or a faster offering from Qwest.
