Alan,

I know a little about the publishing business, having worked it for a long time. B&N may be offering a November release simply to capture early sales. "Order from us because we're gonna get it ahead of Amazon" kind of thinking.

Of course, when they don't get it ahead of Amazon (and others) they will blame it on someone else. Just a thought.
