Actually, my husband alerted me to the upcoming bust in Asia b4 anyone in the States made a big deal about it. He had been to Asia, and we had been to Asia a few times during that period. He was alarmed at the devaluation of the currencies in the region. Unfortunately, I ignored him! (g) Also, we spent about 7 weeks in Indonesia in the summer of 1996 so we saw it coming: Suharto's dethroned! We were amazed at the corruption in Indonesia. We've never seen so much corruption at very low levels. Constantly, you were expected to bribe people. And, of course, Suharto's children owned most of the country's wealth. I haven't been able to keep up with posts so that is why it has taken me a long time to get back to you. Hope you and your family enjoy The Labor Day Weekend. Cheers, Mephisto
