Many people still pretend the Statue of Liberty is on the New York side, but it truly is on the New Joisey side, or at least most of it anyway..... NJ always seems to be the recipient of more bad jokes than NY, but many folks have traditionally left NYC to live in Jersey, so perhaps that is why we are so "bad" now..... <g> And we always have new immigrants arriving in the area who see Lady Liberty and then head west for the hills of the Garden State, so you better know at least three different languages if you want to do business here.
