re: GE....Rande, thanks for your input. Actually there would be no significant cap gains tax involved, because assets pass on to heirs at their present value. My inclination is to sell and take advantage of GE's move to a new high.....there is some opposition to this from another heir who assumes good stocks always move higher, and who thinks the longer you wait, the better off you will be. Obviously, this person has never been burned by Wall Street.

In my humble opinion, the heirs can split the money from the sale of GE and buy back the stock on their own if they want to own it, probably for less than it will bring if it is sold now.

Eventually, we will get this figured out and make a wise move, I hope.

Bottom buy alerts IMHO on LU and UIS here. LU has held 40 nicely. Will get the positive spotlight soemday soon again.
Oversold. UIS down at new base IMHO. Rest of sector up today but it's lagging. Not for long.

Well, well, well....just found out I snagged one-half to one-third of a desired position in GE at 49.

I KNEW that puppy would come down to my affordability level at some point. Hope to get more even lower, but won't be disappointed if I don't. This is a long-term hold.
