I think that embedded Linux is the biggest opportunity that Wind faces, not challenge. They just have to recognise this. Why? Because VxWorks has been based on GPL technology all along (gcc, gdb, etc), and a move to embrace Linux would be smart. VxWorks could fit nicely on the same platform as Linux, handling the hard-real-time and device specific programming while Linux does the user/web stuff. P, A friend of mine, who is like a computer genies, has said the same thing as you did. Somehow, Fidler has not gotten this. Khan
