it is not clear if fbf would be a competition even at 2Ghz as I would expect .13 would allow amd to reach higher speeds as well. The associated pr might give intel some breathing room to develop a more competitive toy. It is also mean that athlon would probably make it into commercial sector after all.

The impression I have on power consumption is that the number Intel gave is less than the athlon. I've heard intel publishes typical power and amd publishes max, but even so, it would seem that it should run fine with a 300 watt supply. I'm very interested to see why you don't think this is true?
