At 53 he's got the wisdom of the average 28-year-old male. That's my definition of a chowderhead. If he was smart he would have figured this stuff out before he lost his first family. I'm glad that he is living up to some of his personal responsibilities, but I didn't see any signs of emotional depth there.

You can't even give him credit for stepping off the wheel. He was pushed off.

This is a 53-year-old guy that lost his first family because he was working all the time. That doesn't sound like a successful personal life to me. Maybe he can make one with his current family, and I hope he does, but so far he looks like a loser who's been lucky enough to get a second chance.
