Haqi , in all fairness be a little kinder to yourself and your health...

We may argue ...
but try to remember many of the deeper things that could unite us...wonders of good can come
our way, and the kids are learning the best they can....when the are faced with deaths in their schools in masse attacks...there is much that causes fear in our society, yet still much that can make us strong , even that we are seperate in many thoughts and ideas. It all depends on us, to some find common ground and answers within us.
( charity, hard work, focus , debate, listening, more study in ourselves, tolerance, participation, praise where it is due,....common ,daily ----> thanksgiving....and yes higher standards )

The election is only the process of transfer of power,
which causes many wounds to be opened and harsh words to be spoken....yet in many another time and place such a change would produce death struggles , civil wars, and thousands would die on the altars of political beliefs , ethnic cleansing....religious hatreds. We have a great deal to be proud of....(even in our George Bush, who is a decent chap.... ok i said it !)
;-)

There is deep beauty and magnificance in our way, and yes you could say that God has placed his stamp upon this country, as his way of speaking to the world and humanity...
"here is your way to be free , and have peace, and go even farther to teach a message ( and learn from) to all the rest of the human race "...

Father Terrance is right when he says to often the Spirit and grandeur of this great land is trampled in the dust of a media circus ...designed for the shallow pleasures of the masses. As in centuries before in ancient Rome. And for politicians, leaders and powerful men to try to appease their appetite for small victories. There is much that is good ( non-political) information and glorious findings, so astounding that are also there, in the sciences , religious, and the philosophical freely deseminated to all....almost every new day. Much that should increase our collective sense of wonder and awe...and draw us together.

So much knowledge mixed with constant change...so much ever increasing technology , yet the pressures of the more common man to fit himself in ,stay up to date, and stay in the game...many jobs lost and new one's created, and many going abroad cause stress, yet whole new areas opening up , that require constant adaptation, as corporations
vie to compete globally.

A president needs more now than ever to know how to seperate the ideas that lead us towards unity, yet not neglect our place in the world ...a very tough path, and requires the knowledge of a hundred different languages : Political, racial, religious, individual statehoods, individual spirits, scientific ,corporate, internet, diplomatic....and most important a firm grasp of himself as a man and well versed in all. Yet the presidency so much more today is not just made up of one man , but an office
that serves as a nexus for many forces and lobbys both internally , domestic and global....and the media is the net that supposedly reports it all....yet in the end it is we all of us that make that office great, whether demo or Gop. And whomever is president must participate in the marching on of the world, or maybe we must just to try and slow it down ( a kinder gentler space?) We are a great land and many have died to protect her....yet never will the debates and dialogs end , that is the curse of freedom....or maybe it's the "progress" that assaults us all too much? Could there be another way?

So live on dear Haqi , and concentrate on your own health and ability to make further contributions ( sometimes just to remain in good health and spirits is enough)... and i shall try to do my part as well.

so fellow citizen....
i have made my statement and shall bid you
"good day" and "good health"

;-)
