SI Bob, With all due respect, I'm not sure if I understand the TOU, although I see the same translation again and again in suspensions. You are against "unnecessary nastiness towards fellow participants." Fair enough. But when some perma-bull comes on this thread--obviously a "bearish clique" (to paraphrase your statement) and goes out of their way to ridicule us, it's fair game...but reverse the situation and they run, crying foul and the bears get suspended. Seems to me that's a double-standard. Seems to me if a perma-bull TRULY wanted to avoid "unnecessary nastiness," he/she would steer clear of threads that were clearly for bears only. These clowns come in taunting, but they go crying to Mama when they get their head handed to them via a contrary post. Just doesn't seem right. The header on this thread clearly states that milk and cookies won't be provided to anyone with a clownish attitude. If I was so thin-skinned, I would avoid threads whose tone was contrary to my investing style. I understand the perma-bulls getting a free pass on CNBC to spread their mania B.S., but I expect a little more from S.I. Taunting is a two-way street...if you want to dish it out (which these guys obviously do, aggressively), you oughta be able to take it. Besides, lets face it, look at some of these threads and an arbitrary observer would summize that there are indeed some S.I. threads--using your words--"full of butt pumping." so taunting with "appropriate" words is still ok? I'm not defending the term "butt-pumping" but the taunting by others on a rival thread (I feel I'm in West side Story)is OK as long as the words used pass your litmus test? Regards, MM

I saw the post, which was posted on this thread, and the impression I had of "butt-pumping" was self congratulatory, like the way football players will slap each other's butt when they do something good. When I read MDD I did see some comments specifically critical of Luc. I don't know if anyone got suspended for those remarks (I don't think they should have) nor do I think that Luc should have been suspended for his. I think this suspension stuff is getting out of hand. I don't see anyone involved in altercations with innocent bystanders. The people who are engaged in this type of horse play are all people who have chosen to engage in it. Innocents are not being attacked. This interference with free speech is really over the edge. It seems like between moderated threads and the exclude feature people have the ability to create an environment that they find suitable. Excluding stock pumping and spamming is fine but having big brother watch over me is something I left behind long ago. I would suggest you lighten up a little bit. This environment is feeling less and less user friendly.

Another question....was what Luc posted a TOU violation? If not, then why the banning? What good are the TOU if one can be banned for non-violation? You're saying that you are in effect the SI censor?
