The capital gain on the sale of the Comm. division will add approx. $0.57 cents to the Q3 base eps of perhaps $1.00 or more (i.e.if a $200 ASP for the 3.6 million Athys ASP is achieved)...resulting in a Q3 eps of $1.50 or better (Any idea of their competitor's Q3 estimate, Paul won't tell me???)...Fortunately AMD need not rely on this additional capital gain to set yet a 4th successive record breaking quarter of operational earnings...and a 5th, etc...

albert, according to the cc, the comm sale should add 0.57 per share (diluted) to Q3. Thats the after tax number using a (!) 41% tax rate. Sheesh, I'm glad I don't pay that high a capital gain rate! Don't think Intel does either.
