Michael,

Maybe when SNDK blows away the consensus estimates a few more times, someone will question a few analysts as to why they were SO wrong. Perhaps their response will be something like, "oh darn, I forgot to add in those 50 million MMC cards from the MP3's...and oops, SNDK has ROYALTY revenue? Yeah, I've been really busy lately, and that Eli can only be SO crystal clear when he describes SNDK's potential, that it is easy to get the story wrong. Good thing I upped my estimates for next quarter after READING THE POSTS ON SI..um, um, I mean doing further research on my own." Or maybe not...

Michael, it's not you, it's the fact that a large majority of analysts don't understand technology (they're trained mainly in financial analysis). When confronted by a new technology, such as flash memory, an analyst cannot, in my view, make reasonable evaluations without understanding the balance sheet, the technology, along with a good foundation in marketing. It's easy to make a cool post for a cool company.
