Re: "If the branch can't predict, the pipeline must evict!"? ;-) I speced a PIII server today (it's for a VPN portal, lots of encrypting / decrypting and an MPU machine looked like a good idea). Haven't gone with Intel in a while. Went with an L440GX+, a Chenbro Net case, 866MHZ so they won't fail from heat, and Ultrastar drives. So I it looks like there's still some reason for Intel products once in a while - for a couple more months. If the AMD 760 chipset were out, I could have used 1.1GHZ TBirds and had 10 degrees more margin in heat tolerance. Dan
