UF LOL That was one excellent post. I ditto Jill - definitely Hall of Fame calibre. rose. BTW, deadheads are water soaked logs that have broken away from log booms on the west coast and float on the perpendicular. All that the sailor can see is the circumference of the log and not the danger that lurks below. They are very common in the waters I sail in and pose a deadly threat to all boaters. Just in case anyone was curious - I'm surprised no one asked, but I guess its common knowledge.
