Official long attempts to explain how it was that Rambus missed earning royalties on SDRAM for all those years: (1) jim kelley, Aug 24, 2000: there must have been a lot of design information in the original patent submission. It took them a long time to frame the claims and clear the arguments through the patent office. #reply-14272294 Hmmm. Probably the most important claim is the claim to a memory register that allows latency to be programmable. That's odd, I just framed it in one sentence!
