August, I envy you. Please tell us in a few days how you like your new cable connection. Does it slow down at certain times etc. Of course if SI's servers are slow - like lately - your fast connection is like a Porsche stuck in a traffic jam. :)

i believe that internet use increases towards the evening hours. this despite all the people who use it all day long at work. for instance, aol used to be notorious for dial-up busy signals from about 5pm on.

i notice a bit of a slow down on sunday evening with my cable modem.

so i'll say that the speed will be best during the day, but the difference may not be all that noticeable.

and that's my final answer.
