Actually, my understanding is that ALPS has stumbled on the 20GB programs which is, I guess, one of the reasons this news has bode so well for the stock.

Also, I agree with your assessment as to why they timed the releases to coincide though I also know that they are sometimes restrained from releasing until the get full approval from their customers. I wish I knew how similar all the configurations were.

Interesting that WDC beat Maxtor to the punch on 20GB/7200 RPM drives though Maxtor is expected to announce soon.
