Or do you really believe the ECB is independent? And since most of the applicants for entry into the EU can never achieve the present EU standard with their own economies the EU countries have to adjust theirs to accommodate them draining the German engine of it's motor oil = capital = inflation.

Just raise interest rates and funds will flow to Europe from the US.

A wise move will be 0.5% hike the currency will then may be at par.
