An interesting observation.

From 7/25/2000 to 8/24/2000, the average stock in the data base of 66 stocks increased 27.28%.

Jon,
Agreed, but such possible liberal action by fiat would also assure a lively Strictly Drilling Thread here on SI until the day comes when all our SUV's are fusion powered.

Best Regards,

Roebear

Jon, and the next subject will be, Please Lower YOUR prices to US. We are a "free market" country that believes in capitalism and at the same time telling other country's they shouldn't be. I'll guarantee that if America had all the oil we wouldn't give it away, but the government would raise taxes even higher so they could get more.
This is the "ULTIMIT EXAMPLE OF A HIPOCRICY"

Jon /OT. The left has been and continues to be a cancerous growth (ala constantly scheming for more big government boondoggles via decades of anti-business propaganda) burden on this economy. It's even more of a problem in most European nations.

But charity starts at home. So, though I doubt I'll see it, would sure love to see a couple of high visibility CEOs step in front of the camera and rebut CARTER and some of the other absurd and ongoing ultra-liberal, anti-oil nonsense that the New York HQed TV networks routinely pass along to the public without editorial critique (i.e. a tacit endorsement).

APA's CEO has demonstrated some guts in the public arena more than once. And the fact that his co doesn't have a big stake in Alaska might give him some credibility as an objective critic of Carter and the numerous other anti-oil politicians in this country.
