TP,
Bull$hit
Your reaction is akin to a former teacher friend of mine. If I disagree witrh him on a subject I am uninformed, mis-educated or stupid. This is not argument, it is character assasination, something I have come to expect from Clintonistas such as you and that former friend.

>That is why the two bodies are locked in place <
>Since the Earth rotates faster than the moon can orbit,<
You contradict yourself. The moon's rotation has been slowed by Earth's gravity so that it rotates once per orbit. It used to be closer and rotate faster. The Earth used to rotate faster too.

The bulges you speak of move the centers of gravity of the Earth and moon at most a percent or two from the center of their cores and the effect that flipping the Earth would have on the moon's orbit would be negligible. As the moon causes the bulge you claim it is following I doubt it will have to move at all to catch the bulge which is caused by it. Claiming that there is no evidence of "great
cracking of the surface and volcanoes and earthquakes" is Bull$hit.
