don't you understand? the bubble isn't about 'running companies'. this may be different for some companies, but the main concern in today's corporate world is to keep the stock price pumped...by any means. in fact the whole 'new economy' is centered on the stock market...that's what it's all about. the financial markets ARE the economy now.

<<If I were a shareholder I would be pissed if the president was turning on CNBS as a normal part of his work day. I want him running the fricking company! >>

Now, now, Ice, why so uptight? In this mania, the BUSINESS of BUSINESS IS BUSINESS (i.e, deciding when to sell one's company's bloated stock). "Running a business" for a CEO in tech these days is an anachronism.

"What kind of hours do those clowns keep? Barb, Mama Bear, tried to call them and no one was around."

It was before 7 am their time when I tried to call. I don't know, it doesn't seem unreasonable to me that they start work at 8 am or so, BWDIK?

Regards,

Barb
