This event has damaged the company.

Balderdash!

An act of financial terrorism could have been constructed to target any company using the same tactics. How many investors and funds are going to 'leave' the investment because something unrelated to the fundamental business at Emulex and in the fibre channel space took place today?

An outright fraud is much different than a rumor about accounting issues such as the infamous David Tice would launch on a company like Tyco International. I think the damage will be very short term in comparison. I expect action to be swift and serious for the culprit(s).
