It may be that the basic nature of man is not evil, but it is certainly not good, either. I have spent a lot of time around children, and their behavior tends to improve with age, that is, with socialization and greater understanding. Before that, they can be incredibly cruel and selfish, although temperaments vary...........

I DON"T define human nature as evil. Nor do I see it as good. It just IS-- and the potential for creative living or destruction is there in all of us.
