You know a lot more about that stuff than me.
In a few months we should see the VIA Apollo Pro P6 DDR and the Apollo Pro K7 DDR. Should make for some interesting benchmarks.
As for P3, the Micron DDR reference design showed some impressive benchmarks against the PC800. I don't think VIA is devoting the effort to P3 with their eyes closed.
In any event, I still see next year as 80% PC133. The chip makers are going to make nice profits with the transition to 128Mb / 256Mb with 0.18 rules.
