I don't understand. Why should brokers negotiate? They didn't put out the release, or cause clients to sell. I don't understand why brokers may be at fault.

Negotiate with their brokers... this sounds like a bad joke.

Not really EMLX related: Sometimes it happened to me that I mixed up stocks symbols and bought (or sold) stocks way off the market (premarket of after hours), costing me a decent amount of cash on each occasion.
Till now I haven't managed to get one of those trades broken...every time with the reason: "You entered the trades on your own so you are responsible for the resulting execution, and basta..."
