Maybe the market is giving credit to the performance of the insurance unit,
or expectation of contracts at LPA,
or new sales of annuities in the U.K.,
or expectation of new analyst or press coverage,
or increased institutional interest,
or expected announcement of another acquisition,
or increasing expectation that the value of the public portfolio may actually increase instead of decrease...

I still think that however you look at it nearly one of the "portfolios," (or one or more parts of the company) has no implied value at the current price.
