TP, re: Ken Starr. I promise, my last post on the subect. How does Ken Starr get such bad PR?

Remember, he was presented evidence by Tripp bout the Oral Office affair. He didn't know what to do, so he brought it to the justice dept. The infamous "3-judge panel" told him to run with it.

I still don't see how people make out Starr as the bad guy and Clinton is now a folk hero. Again, I say it is about right and wrong, setting an example.

This being the Bush thread. I give Bush a solid B- and I give Algore a very kind D+. I have no doubt that the pandering Gore would give away the store to remain in power. Gore is a perfect example of a pol who will say anything, do anything to stay in power.

Is no one else here offended by his pompous "save the world" attitude coupled with the fact that he donated only $400 to charity on a $400,000 taxable income in 1998. That reeks of hypocrisy and elitism, just what we've had the last 8 years.

To be honest I am a little worried about a repub. congress and a repub. president. I still think the less that gets passed in Washington the better off we citizens are.

But surely you would admit that Starr was way off of Whitewater, and Clinton responded as any average American would have about private affairs.

The inquiry was approved by a three judge court AND Janet Reno. The inquiry was into perjury, obstruction , etc, not "private matters". You are either stupid or a liar to continue making these ridiculous assertions. Which is it? Ken Starr may have a political tin ear, but he is an honest and dedicated professional who understands what an oath as a lawyer and as OIC means. That post of yours is a despicable piece of trash and just what I expected from your ilk. JLA
