Field Report...

Just got back from an 8 day trip visiting most of the Missions in California. Wonderful adventure...BUT the thing I want to pass along is how frustrated I was trying to use my Qualcomm cell phone...THERE WAS VERY POOR OR NO COVERAGE in many of the areas we visited...IN CALIFORNIA!

North of Paso Robles on US 101...dropped calls...then no coverage.
At Mission San Antonio south of Salinas...NO COVERAGE.
San Juan Bautista east of San Jose...Poor coverage...dropped calls...

US 101 is a major artery and I can not believe the poor coverage in most of the central part of the state.

Buying a G* phone soon.
Nice move on the stock this week! Good Job folks. Didn't check the market or the news during the 8 entire trip...try it...it is marvelous.

<font color=green>Thomas Sowell knows what's up:

There's the opposite point of view on Guy-Sized Gore [there's that ubiquitous GG again...spooky]

Thomas doesn't think Al Gore will save the world. I doubt he thinks Trent Lott will either. I wonder what he thinks of Bernie.

Okay, that's all the politics from me.

PS: Rick, thanks for the report on cellular coverage in California. I'm surprised that 101 isn't covered end to end.
